Microsoft to Lay Off 5% of its Workforce this month or about 11,000 roles. According to various media reports, the software giant is mainly cutting jobs in the areas of customer and partner solutions, engineering, and consulting., human resources and engineering divisions.
Microsoft lay off is the latest in the US technology industry after Amazon and Meta. Other big companies like Google, Apple, CISCO etc have also announced the same for downsizing the workforce in response to sluggish demand and a gloomy outlook for the global economy.
