Beware !!! Probably your smartphone is hacked or vulnerable for hacking if contact list of phone is having 1800-300-1947 stored on it. If you search the contact list, you would find this number stored as “UIDAI” on your phone.Interestingly, this number is not stored by you and UIDAI has already made it clear that this number doesn’t belong to them.
There is something fussy about this number as UIDAI said “18003001947 is not a valid UIDAI Toll free number where as Press Bureau of India has mentioned the same toll free number for Aadhar Grievances.Check the PIB letter here
This toll free number was stored on the smartphone regardless of whether you had linked your Aadhaar or not, or even had an Aadhaar number in the first place.
UIDAI said “18003001947 is not a valid UIDAI Toll free number” in a series of tweets. But recently a letter trending on web issued by UIDAI to telecom companies for mapping the Toll free Number 1800-300-1947 with ‘1947’,
