In a bizarre incident, India’s largest bank SBI has reported that the Fake appointment letters are being issued in the name of State Bank of India (SBI) to a large number of candidates and available on the fake website http://www.sbipocr.co.in/. SBI has also released an advisory in this case to all the visitors of their website on career section https://www.sbi.co.in/careers/.
The letter dated 15th March 2018 reported that
[box type=”info” align=”aligncenter” ]It has been reported to us that some fraudsters have hosted a fraudulent and fake web site www.sbipocr.co.in making it appear to be as that of State Bank of India (SBI), in which some lists of selection for post in SBI have been published and reportedly appointment letters are also being issued in the name of SBI by fraudsters. It is clarified that the above mentioned website DOES NOT belong to SBI. Further, SBI never publishes names of selected PO/Clerical candidates on website and recruitment details are available only on https://www.sbi.co.in/careers and https://bank.sbi/careers[/box]
Candidates or visitors of any of the sites are usually advised to check the secured status of the sites i.e. https:// for any genuine information or providing any information on such sites.
