This year CGL 2012 prelims was tougher than previous year, marks scored by almost all the candidates are on an average same so the marks of tier II will be deciding for selecting candidates for final cutoff. CGL Tier II marks will decide the future of Final cutoff for many candidates.
This year SSC CGL Tier II exam Question were little depressing for the candidates. They have made the Paper I i.e. mathematics in which candidates generally expect a high score little tougher. Actually paper was not at all tough but it was lengthy.
Question were asked from the all the topics of the SSC CGL syllabus. Trignometry , Geometry and Corrdinate geometry alone carried 23 question onaverage.
SSC has changed the pattern of question asked in the CGL little bit. Unlike previous exam this year they asked around 20 questions from Work & time, Profit & loss Topics.Overall many candidates believe that the paper was lengthy and hard to score much.
Opposite to paper I, Paper II i.e. English was easy to score and solve. Except Passage which alone carried 30 marks, rest of the paper was very easy to score and this has compensated the math paper.

friends relax, this is way too early to discuss about the toughness of Maths, English or to discuss final cut-offs. Please keep your calm and wait for some official response from "SSC", they will upload the answers, and I guess after that one can have an honest look on his performance.
So my dear friends all the best wishes to everyone out there. :)
sir ,
I scored 40 marks in math and 175 marks in english in tier 2. And 73 in tier 1. I am from sc category. Is there any chance for interview post ?
175 correct in english or attempted
sir 115 in maths, 162 english, 100 prelim, total…………377 what are my chances for IT or CSS
plz mention ur cat.
i xpect 120+ in maths & 160+ in english and got 105 in tier 1 wat r my chances to qualify for an interview post
some of the answers are wrong above in maths…….
well i cud attempt only 37 questions out of 100 with 95% accuracy…dont know what will happen though i could attempt successfully 140 questions in english……
mathematics paper was not tough ( as par the std question of asked)…what really make it tough was lack of space for rough work??
we are given almost no space for solving the questions. question paper was so congested…half of the effort got wasted in managing space and rewriting the calculations on different page. SSC conduct exam to evaluate our quant. abilities not to judge our capablity of "Saving Paper". For ppl who preferred to master calculation speed rather than learning shortcuts, thit question paper was a complete disaster.
I think SSC must take it in notice.
BTW in tier 1=84, tier2 (maths)=70 marks,english= 140 marks.
is there any chances of gettin any b grade post?
i got 86 marks in pre and think to get 80 in maths and 140 in english(OBC). what will be the scope for me?
