This time the syllabus and patterns of Combined Graduate Level exam Tier – I was changed a little with Sectional Cutoff in each section with addition of certain more topics in Maths and other section.
SSC Chief has mentioned in his Twitter Account :
There are 12000 candidates which needed to be selected through around 15 Lacs candidates…”cut off in any exam is not fixed beforehand. it depends on performance of all candidates”.
But it is expected that due to toughness of paper, Sectional cutoff may be waived off.
Results will be published by 31st JUL 2012.
Sectional cutoff and Negative Marking will naturally impact the over all performance of candidates in the Exam. Math paper will be made tougher than other section due to addition of some more topics like geometry etc.

Sectional cutoff will halt the performance of such candidates who are good in One or two section and their scoring in other paper entirely depends on these key papers. Any way the expectation of paper for this year SSC CGL Tier – I is average as per the views of candidates.
This time the Math paper for first session was full of questions from Trigonometry and Geometry. There were around 25+ question were asked from these chapters in Math section. In English section also there were two passage included. Relief for candidates was in General Awareness section which was rather easy.
Due to sectional cutoff this year, Scoring in Math paper will be deciding. I expect that those who have done 20+ question correctly without any negative marks will Hit the button of this year CGL.
We expect the candidates to share their expected marks in SSC CGL 2012 so that we could analyze the Cutoff for the Tier I. This will help candidates in knowing whether they would able to clear the Tier I of Prelims of CGL or not.
We have spoken to many of the coaching Institutes who are specialized in SSC Training. Their views on cutoff is very clear. They are expecting that the cutoff would be 72-77.
All such candidates who are expecting this score must start preparing for the mains because the Mains will be as like prelims especially the Math section.

If yes, then by what date..??..
I want to clear that there are some question which are wrong in maths answer keys.
And there are some answer keys of general awareness which are not right
the set 112rh5
what is the ssc chief is doing about this
raj can u please tell me which questions are wrong in 112RH5 of GA ,,, please :(
I don't understand why u guys are worrying about the wrong answer by SSC, if it's wrong, every one will be treated equally…
I got 143 marks in exam . . .how much required for CBI SI . After interview tell me?
which exam? If SSC then u'll not get selected because only a few could cross 140 last year. Either u've counted all the wrong answers or u just want to show off ? So u will not get selected.
maintain 175 in tier2 u will be definetly in CBI
last year 421 after interview
Friends……..
maths was really tough for both morning session and afternoon session. Till last year, I haven't heard about any sectional cut off. So, we all practiced in that manner. So, its not healthy to make section wise cut off. Bcz, trigonometry was newly added topic. that was quite unexpected. we wanted to spend extra time for maths. Then the commission would have specifically told about either the sectional cut off or the additional topic. Its not worthy.
But it was previously added in the advertisement made by SSC,that there will be sectional cutoff,,,,,if now it is not so,then it is unfair
if section wise cutoff will be there then be prepared for cutoff around 60

There is no sectional cutoff ssc director has confirmed two times in his twitter blog.
Don't worry Ajay, there will not be any sectional cut off as SSC chief tweeted on July 8, 2012. So, start your preparation for TIER 2.
thanxs
abhi tak to sectional cutoff nahi ayi hai ssc me. and why are some people here misguiding others. before u post any comment u should be 100% sure. i too appeared for the exam and trust me i found maths to be very hard. some how could attend only 12 questions which i think will my overall score. this was my last chance and i am very nervous and heartbroken
sectional cut off will be considered when total marks obtained by the students is very high…according to SSC…
if u found math hard it doesn't mean there will not be any cutoff….

Hi, I appeared second time in SSC CGL exam on 08 July 2012. I am selected as Auditor in CAG through SSC CGL-2012. From my point of view and performance of many of my friends, I can judge that the cut off will be – UR-73-78, OBC-67-70, SC/ST 58-62. This time the paper was little bit tough and time consuming. The highest score will be around 170 marks.
