CSIR UGC NET Exam Answer Key,Cutoff Discussion Analysis

University Grant Commission (UGC) has concluded the Examination of NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (JRF) AND ELIGIBILITY FOR LECTURESHIP.

NET EXAM ANALYSIS DECEMBER 2012

UGC NET EXam 2012 was conducted on 30th Dec 2012 for JRF and Eligibility of Lectureship. This year onward the cutoff for lectureship is kept slightly different than usual pattern. Now just passing the UGC NET exam and scoring above the minimum cutoff would not be sufficient for eligibility of Lectureship.

Candidates need to score high on merit and top 15% of all successful candidates will be found eligible for lectureship.

NET Exam Analysis JUNE 2012

It was the first Exam of UGC NET with change syllabus i.e. Objective Type test for NET exam. Exam were concluded in three session with different papers which were all multiple type objective papers.

First Paper which was general for all the subjects were very easy and scoring of that paper will be naturally very high. Although the cutoff for the paper is very low as per the criteria of UGC but this section helps a lot in boosting the overall aggregate marks in Final Merit List.

Question of Paper II were asked usually like previous 5 years paper of  this section. Question were average type and scoring was good. many of the candidates had told us that they did even better than Paper I in this section.

Paper III which was from area of specialization / Subjects were little tricky for different papers as like for Management, Public Administration, Electronic science etc. In particular management paper almost all the chapter of management were touched.

Question of Management subject was average type but the options were designed very beautifully to create the confusion. Answers choice were very closely related to each other and only the extensively study would have helped the candidates in score well in this section.

What I think for preparing the final Merit List of UGC NET the cutoff would be highly depends on the various criteria like

1. It was an objective test without Negative Marking so the Cutoff  for individual paper will be very high.

2. Those who have scored around 90-95% in first paper with 80-85% in Paper II with average scoring i.e. 85% and more in the third paper can expect their name in Final merit list of UGC NET 2012.

Candidates who appeared in the UGC NET JUNE 2012 exam may tell us better than us. Their fact will be actual. We request all such candidates who appeared in the exam to given some time on this and tell us their expected marks in the exam so that we can analyze the Cut off for NET JUNE 2012 in more better ways.

  2. Regarding cut off marks i would like to mention that ugc always maintain required minimum qualifying marks for lectureship but cut off marks vary for JRF.So need not to panic. As you mention as that for objective type question ugc may increase cut off marks is totally illogical because an aspirant better know how hard to crack net exam.

  3. I am Scoring Paper 1: 74/100, Paper2: 66/100, Paper3: 100/150, Total: 240/350. Am I through in Management stream?

  4. This is my first exam & i am not sure what does the announcement regarding online feedback of answer key &updation ?

What is the purpose of updation ?

  5. Cut off marks will be around 75% (overall, including all three papers) & above in Management and those who scored less then 75% have very little possibility to crack the NET.
    It means atleast-
    76 marks in paper-I
    76 in paper-II
    & 110 marks in paper-III
    Best of Luck to all.
Please note- This analysis is based on expert analysis which was done by randomly asking marks of 2000 candidates from various cities. Actual cut off may vary……..

  6. I scored 80 in paper-I ,80 in paper-II & 73% in paper-III,can I expect my name in the merit?

  7. This time in Commerce paper 2nd Answer key to question no. 10 is wrong…The ratios are to be arranged in descending order of liquidity i.e. decreasing order of liquidity and the answer should be D….Please recheck it…I am sure the answer posted by UGC is wrong due to some technical error..
