Indian Engineering Services (IES) conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to the Indian Engineering Services (IES). Engineering Services exam for Mechanical is divided into two papers (PAPER 1 & PAPER 2) which generally held on second day after General Ability paper.
There are two objective exams for each paper separately and each being of 2 hrs in duration.
Mechanical Engineering Paper I consist of 120 Multiple choice Objective type Questions. There will be negative marking for wrong answer.
