The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi which will be held on 29.01.2012 (Sunday).
CTET Will recruit Teachers for Following Schools :
1 The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
2 CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
3 Schools owned and managed by the State government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
Cost of CTET Information Bulletin and Application Form
(i) For General/OBC candidates Rs.500/-
(ii) For SC/ST/Differently abled candidates Rs.250/-

Mode of Payment:
The CTET Application fee can be Paid either Offline or Online Mode.
1) Online Payment of Fees can be done through Credit / Debit Card
2) for Offline payment of Fees : Through Demand Draft in favour of the “Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi ” drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi.
Write your registration number, name, address, and mobile/telephone number on the back of the Demand Draft.
How to Apply for CTET January 2012: Candidates can apply for CTET – JAN 2012 either on the prescribed Application Form (Offline) or apply ‘online’. CTET Application form can be bought from the various branches of Syndicate Bank in India.
For On-Line Submission of CTET Application form: Candidates are requested to apply online for CTET January 2012 through the website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in.
Send the Application form for either case i.e. Offline or Online with demand draft or Printout of completed application incase of Online to address provided below :

The Application form sent by courier shall not be accepted and will be summarily rejected.
CTET January 2012 Written Test Syllabus and Pattern
The CTET examination will be of objective type multiple choice questions. There will be 2 papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I : teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II : teacher for classes VI to VIII.
There will not be any Negative Marking in the Exam.
Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued marks statement by CBSE. The candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued CTET certificate.
