• is getting recommended by the army/navy a plus point in the interview like having a NCC C certfct??

• Firstly congrats on the success of CPF 2010 candidates ... :)
  I have appeared in CPF 2011 this time. I suppose i will get b/w 88 to 92 in P-1 (exact is not available because correct solutions are not available) and English was also good.
  Please tell me what chances I stand here. please clarify...

• Friends no need to worry. In gen. cat. Anybody score 85/50 will b called for pet. For obc it is 82/46 and for sc/st it is just 80/45. From reliable sources. On thing is notable time of 800 mtr race has been increased to 3 minutes 45 seconds. So large number candidates shall qualify for the interview. Hence better prepare for interview more rigorously rather than concentrating upon 800 metre race. Many of us couldn't qualify 800 metre race just for 2 to 15 seconds. There was chance of recommendation was very high after clearing pet/met. Upsc wants to lower this probability. They want to have more options to choose from.

  Upsc has changed alot from written pattern to PET. So we must focus on our personality development and interview skills. At last dont worry for 800 mtr race is going to be very easy. Al the best for future aspirants and congrats to ACs.

    • dude i want to demoralize u but it bitter but true ,the cut off is going above 80 for first exm in this year because of lesser no of vacancy .in last year the cut off first paper was 76 to be able to get checked the 2nd paper.

• last year interview was of 200. Refer notifications of 2010.or marks statement on upsc site.2011 what i found that interview will carry 150 marks. Refer notification. So all those who wrote 140/150. Plz change denominator.

  the thing is that those who are really very curious abt the answers of their respective paper sets can quench their desire by buying this months, monthly digest of of arihant magzine
  in that magzine they have given the sold papers of assitant commandant 2011 but trully speaking m not impressed by the answers
  for example they have mentioned that the RTI is a fundamental right....hw it can be?

  n mr shekhawat i agree wd u that counter arguments and report writing was smthing new this time it doesn't mean that we have not done such kinda things before but the thing is that we seldom pay ear to such stuff
  so i think the cut off for general can be between 60 and 70 marks....last time it was 45
