  4. Sir, i am physically handicapped person.my score will be 240-250 out of 600.is there any chance for me in any post. Plz tell me.

  5. mera tier-1 me 95 tier-2 me 124+93. total 312/600 aur mai OBC se hu. intervew post k liye chances kya hai?

  6. in my point of view the general candidates who r scoring near 390, or in other words who are scoring 120 in pre ,130 in maths, and 140 in english, it is a realistic score, consists 50% of 14000,pre qualified candidates, there r candidates also who have scored to the tune of 140 in pre and rest the same as i projected above so they r scoring 400,they may consist,50% of the rest i.e.25% and rest 25% r those who have scored to the tune of 420 and above,so the figure stands at
    7000(scoring 380-390),3500(390-400) and 3500(400 n above)
now if ssc have 1600 vacancies( interview post) it will call 1600*3=4800 candidates for interview
select first 3500(400n above)+1300(390-400) toal 4800, it means the merit for a call to interview will be 390,and rest candidates who scored(390-400) i.e.2200 or may be 2500 will be called for non interview posts, such as t.a. for skill test, n the merit of non interview posts will be more than 400,after filling of all the interview posts

    • one more thing samir. if there were very good, good, avg, below avg students last time, than this time also combination of all these must be present.just think if last time tier-1 cut off was 115 for UR what happened this time why cut off is 87 this time despite all level of students (brilliant to below avg) appear in exam….. there must be a reason behind that and negative marking is the biggest factor. this factor must be seen in tier-2 also, in addition to difficult paper of math, which further lowers the cut off. plz think over this…. individual differences may be there and these are only my own views..

    • dear how do you know how much vacancies are there as ssc has not declared anything as far as no. of posts are concerned. some one is saying that there are around 11000 posts this year. if that is the case it means 50% reservation and still 50% posts for general category, it comes out to be 5500. around 3.5 times more posts against yours1600. else your calculation seems to be good and might be accurate. dear now plz take my prediction carefully. i think with negative marking competition decreases. because no one will dare to attempt all the questions means all 200 in tier1 and all 300 in tier2(m+e). an above avg student in tier-1 would have attempt 150-165 questions, in tier-2 math paper was not so easy and attemptation of 75 questions are very good. last time around 90 questions were doable and that also for very good student… in english also 150-170 questions attemptation are very good. so you left with around 95 questions unattemptd and if you attempt any no. of questions with 80% accuracy that will be more than enough in any competitive exam around the world. if negative marking is not there than everyone will attempt all the questions means those 95 questions which are unattempted because of negative marking. out of these 95, suppose 25 are correct than you will get approx 35 marks(2 mark math ques included) so deduct 35 marks as it is from last year 424 cut off and also deduct marks of 20% wrong answers due to negative marking that around 25-30 marks(1/4th mark) in case you attempt 400 questins(tier1+tier2). so another 25 marks decreases so 425-35-25=365… this is the case with only above avg students which are not miore than 25-30% of total strength in india atleast, or maximum 35% because who clear tier-1 will be a good student. so according to me 360 should be the cut off for interview in case of general category…….i am saying 365 because you should consider 424 as equal as 365 marks because of negative marking and difficulty level of math paper. but you are taking 390 to 420 cut off with cmprsion to last year 424 that without taking into consideration negative marking. dear negative marking is really very-very big factor. in non-negative case destiny does play a role in those 95 questions(approx) but in negative marking no one would dare to touch those questions if one is not sure about the ques. in non negative there is no penalty for wrong answer but there is penalty for wrong answer in negative marking case.

    • Mr. samir a very wrong estimation u have made especially 120 in pre and 140 in eglish in tier 2 there will be hardly 1000 student who will score 140 in english and 120 in pre(only toppers will score 140 in english) .Any score above 350 will be consider for interview post.if u r getting above 400 thats good for u but it doesn't mean u will make such predictions which lowers confidence of others.for better understanding see the score of previous year and compare it u will get the right estimation

      • kuldeep you are very right. this is only what i am saying. score of 120 in pre, 140 in eng is not an easy task for most of the students but exceptions are always there that too in limit….. i think only 5% students would make it to this score…
