State bank of India has conducted the exam for recruitment of almost 500 post in scale -III on 31-10-2010. Test was of various section including General awareness, DI, English and Reasoning. Other than this test there was a section on professional knowledge with 60 question.
Descriptive section was there for 100 marks with 5 question to complete within 50 minutes. The toughness and expected cut-off will be likely :
DI : This section was very easy, there were four various question on data analysis , which were damn easy. There was five question on probability and each on Time and work, Boat and River, Age . In my view this section cut-off will be 28-30 marks.
Reasoning : This section was average as like other exam. fixed pattern and same old question. Cut-off will be 25-28 fir this section.
English : This section was tough for Guys who are from Hindi Medium. Otherwise it was easy. I think the cut-off will be nearly 24-26 marks.
General Awareness : This section was little tough. Question were asked on other than general question and current affairs. This section will have had the lowest cut-off , nearly 19-21 marks.
Professional Paper : This section was tough for all non-commerce or non-finance guys. I think this paper was set for guys from commerce background or MBA (Core Finance) or Credit persons with CA degree. I can’t say anything about this section, I request all the candidate who has appeared for this exam to put their view about cut-off.
Descriptive Paper : This was easy , question were asked on topic like a : ) E-Business is useful to Banks, Explain b. ) How does telemarketing is important for Banks ? c. ) Use of Internet Banking in Banking Sector etc. This was rather easy and will be checked only after when One pass in First Paper.
I wish every one a great success in SBI Grade – III Exam. I welcome your comment and analysis on SBI Exam Paper and Answer Key.
hi the paper was reasonably tough ….. but not too much i guess … but i feel the cut off might be slightly lesser around 20 range for DI and reasoning ….. anyway any idea when the written exam results are likely ?
