Sainik School in Tilaiya
Sainik school Tilaiya is the 12th in the chain of eighteen Sainik Schools opened in different states of the country. This school opened on September 16, 1963. It provides public school education for boys from Class VI to XII with specific aim of preparing boys for entry into the National Defence Academy and other Officers Training Academies of the three services of Indian Armed Forces.
School Campus
The school is on a high plateau, (1250 ft). The school has a huge campus with all required amenities and services including Post Office, Telephone Exchange and Bank.
The campus has a junior residential section which has classes from UKG to Class V. This section is also quite popular in the region as it enjoys a very high reputation, based on its students’ successes in various public school entrance exams.
Affiliation
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi up to Class XII on 10 + 2 pattern of education. The medium of instruction is English, with Hindi, as a compulsory subject upto Class X.
