All India Sainik School Entrance Examination for admission to Class VI and IX standards of Sainik School Kapurthala
Only boys aged between 10 and 11 years for VI standard and boys aged between 13 and 14 years and studying in VIII std in a recognized school are eligible for admission to IX standard.
Reservations
67% of the seats are reserved for domiciles of Punjab. Short-fall if any, and remaining seats will be thrown open to boys from other States/Union Territories. The distribution of the seats available is as under:-
- Defence personnel and Ex-servicemen: 25%
- Scheduled Caste: 15%
- Scheduled Tribes: 7.5%

The prospectus cum application forms for admission at Sainik School Kapurthala may be obtained from the Principal Sainik School Kapurthala, Punjab w.e.f. 15 Oct to 09 Dec on all working days between 1000-1300 hrs by paying cash Rs. 300/- for General and Defence categories and Rs. 200/- for SC and ST categories.
The prospectus may also be obtained by post by sending an application on plain paper by mentioning address and category along with DD of Rs. 340/- for General and Defence categories and Rs. 240/- for SC and ST categories, drawn in favour of Principal, Sainik School Kapurthala, payable at SBI Kapurthala.
