Whatsapp Pay – An UPI Based Payment Interface To Be Launched Soon

Facebook owned messaging platform Whatsapp is launching UPI based payment interface as like Google Tez. Testing of Whatsapp Pay application is going on with selected user base with Members bank in India. Whatsapp is hopeful of launching the payment interface by March.

Earlier it was reported on sorapedia.com WhatsApp Pay – UPI Based Payment Services To Go Live.

Whatsapp is also launching the Business application Whatsapp business along with integrated Whatsapp pay services for merchants and businesses. Read Whatsapp Business, An Android App for Business Launched.

With the help of Whatsapp payment, users can send and receive the money through Whatsapp chat interface as like BHIM. Credits and debits will be real time through linked bank accounts. This feature is said to be available on WhatsApp version 2.18.21 for iOS, and version 2.18.41 for Android.

Currently there are more than 200 million whatsapp active users in India.
