Reserve Bank of india (RBI) has introduced and launched new Rs 500 notes for public. After Demonetization of old Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes, Government has introduced new denomination of Rs 2000 currency and Rs 500 currency. Check out the salient features of newly introduced Rs 500 notes :

Bank has started distributing the new rs 500 currencies through their branches and ATM’s. This new high-security Rs 500 notes bear signature of Reserve Bank of India Governor Urjit Patel.

The stone grey-colored note bears year of printing ‘2016’ and Swach Bharat logo printed on the reverse. The new Rs 500 note is entirely different from the earlier note sin many way which includes color, note size, theme, location of security features and design elements. it also has Red Fort image with Indian flag on the reverse of it.

Other features include intaglio printing of Mahatma Gandhi portrait, Ashoka Pillar emblem, bleed lines, circle with 500 in the right, and the identification mark which enable the visually impaired person to identify the denomination.

4. Orientation of Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait changed

5. Windowed security thread changes from green to blue when note is tilted

6. Guarantee clause, Governor’s signature, RBI emblem shifted towards right

7. Portrait and electrotype watermarks

8. Number panel with numerals growing from small to big on top left and bottom right sides

9. Denomination in numerals with Rupee symbol in color changing ink (green to blue) on bottom right

10. Ashoka pillar emblem on right
