Are You Eligible For IBPS CWE III PO Recruitment 2013-14?

A common question by lot of aspirant ”  Are You Eligible For IBPS CWE Recruitment 2013-14 ? ” , Follow the guidelines mentioned below to know whether you are eligible to seat in the Common Written Exam (CWE) conducted by IBPS for Year 2013-14 or not.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF IBPS FOR PO/MT :

  • The Eligibility criteria are fixed as 60% in Graduation for General Category.Candidates must have graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. All theeligibility criteria will be reckoned as on 01-07-2013.

The Eligibility criteria for Reserved Category (SC/ST/PWD) are fixed as 55% in any stream of Graduation as on 01-07-2013.  Candidates in reserve category must remember that if they are allotted the seat in General or Open category the Eligibility criteria will be changed as per the General category requirement i.e. 60% and no advantage of relaxation of 5% will be provided to such candidates.

Candidate  should  indicate  the  percentage  obtained  in  Graduation  calculated  to  thenearest  two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicate the same in online application.

For Converting the CGPA/Grade To Percentage : (Total Score x100)/Grade Total Note : If Anyone score 7.79 out of 10 Scale then the Percentage would be 77.90%

Candidates must mention the marks in nearest two digit of decimal and Marks scored in fraction will not be calculated for final Eligibility criteria. I.e. If anyone score 59.99% it will be counted as 59% and he/she is in eligible for IBPS 2013-2014. Similarly in case of 55%, Score obtained in nearest fraction will not be considered like 54.99%

The most toughest part of Eligibility Criteria: IBPS requires the average marks scored by candidates in All Semester/Years and not  just the marks mentioned in Degree.

Calculation of Percentage :  The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the marks obtained  by  the  candidate  in  all  the  subjects  in  all  semester(s)/year(s)  by  aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any.

This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only.

For Example: Sum total of Marks obtained in All papers of All Years divided by total marks. If there are 5 papers in first year totalling 500 marks and candidates scored 50 marks in each paper then the Eligibility criteria for score will be fixed as : 250/500 = 50% NOT ELIGIBLE.

 POINT TO REMEMBER :

This year IBPS will scrutinize thedocuments very closely, so candidates must follow the instruction very carefully.

All  the  educational  qualifications mentioned  should  be  from  a  recognized  University  / Institution and the result should have been declared on or before 01.07.2013.

VERY IMPORTANT: Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 01.07.2013 has to be submitted at the time of interview.

The date of passing the examination which is reckoned for eligibility will be the date of passing appearing on the mark sheet/ Provisional certificate.

Above all there is another hurdle in front of Candidates i.e. Computer Literacy:

Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied       Computer      /                Information Technology  as  one of      the            subjects In        the          High School/College/Institute.

AGE Criteria: The worst thing which IBPS has done this year, the reduction in Age Limit for IBPS CWE 2013-14. This is not a smart move by IBPS. If they wanted to do so, they would have notified earlier itself, so that candidates would have not wasted their time and money on various coaching institute on preparation.

This Age reduction will be applicable to General Candidates Only.

The Age Limit for IBPS 2013-14 has been fixed as Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years i.e.  a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1985 and not later than 01.07.1993 (both dates inclusive).

Eligibility Criteria For EX- Serviceman : In case of an Ex-servicemen who has once joined in a Govt. job on the civil side after availing the benefits given to him as an Ex-servicemen for his re-employment, his Ex-servicemen status for the purpose of re-employment in Government ceases.

There is no reservation for Ex-servicemen in Officers’ Cadre.
