Jobs Vacancies in FCI, The Food Corporation of India (FCI), one of the largest Public Sector Undertakings is looking after the various vacancies in all the zones in India in category III.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Government of India, will make recruitment to these posts on behalf of the Food Corporation of India under special dispensation given by the Government.
The candidates selected through this recruitment for posts in FCI will NOT, however, have the status of Central Government Civilian Employees.

General Vacancies in All the Zones of FCI
Zone-wise and post-wise projected vacancies, scale of pay and age limits are given below. The total number of vacancies may vary (increase or decrease) at the discretion of FCI. All those vacancies which remain unfilled during previous recruitment will also be added up in the current vacancies which could not be estimated at this point in time.
There are around 6545 total vacancies in Category III for all the departments :
FCI- North Zone: 3023 vacancies
FCI- East Zone: 753 vacancies
FCI- South Zone: 1659 vacancies
FCI- West Zone: 869 vacancies
FCI- North East Zone: 241 vacancies
Date of Examination: 11 November 2012
Age Limit: Candidates willing to apply to the posts mentioned should not be more than 27 years old as on 1.08.2012
Examination Fees : Application fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) in the form of Bank challan or via Internet Banking of State Bank of India (SBI).
Selection Procedure :
The selection process will consist of a Written Examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) for General, Depot, Accounts and Technical Cadres. CPT will be of qualifying nature.
1. The examination will consist of two papers for Post Codes A, B and D for General, Depot and Accounts Cadres.
2. Candidates applying for Post Code C for i.e Technical Cadre will appear in Paper-I and Paper-III.
Syllabus of the examination of FCI will be of degree level in in paper III. Paper I and II will be of Higher Secondary Level.
NOTE : For General, Depot, Accounts and Technical Cadres a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), which will be of qualifying nature. This CPT test will cover components of Word Processing and Excel.
All candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks of Paper-I and Paper-II/ Paper-III
Final selection will be on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in
Paper I and II (200 and 200 marks) for Post Codes A, B and D
Paper I and III (200 and 200 marks) for Post Code C.
