Answer key and Cutoff Analysis CGL Prelims Tier I Morning Shift and Afternoon Session, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has conducted the All India Tier – I prelims exam for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) on First sunday of JUL 2012 in Two session at various center in India.

This time the syllabus and patterns of Combined Graduate Level exam Tier – I was changed a little with Sectional Cutoff in each section with addition of certain more topics in Maths and other section.
SSC Chief has mentioned in his Twitter Account :
There are 12000 candidates which needed to be selected through around 15 Lacs candidates…”cut off in any exam is not fixed beforehand. it depends on performance of all candidates”.
But it is expected that due to toughness of paper, Sectional cutoff may be waived off.
Results will be published by 31st JUL 2012.
Sectional cutoff and Negative Marking will naturally impact the over all performance of candidates in the Exam. Math paper will be made tougher than other section due to addition of some more topics like geometry etc.

Sectional cutoff will halt the performance of such candidates who are good in One or two section and their scoring in other paper entirely depends on these key papers. Any way the expectation of paper for this year SSC CGL Tier – I is average as per the views of candidates.
This time the Math paper for first session was full of questions from Trigonometry and Geometry. There were around 25+ question were asked from these chapters in Math section. In English section also there were two passage included. Relief for candidates was in General Awareness section which was rather easy.
Due to sectional cutoff this year, Scoring in Math paper will be deciding. I expect that those who have done 20+ question correctly without any negative marks will Hit the button of this year CGL.
We expect the candidates to share their expected marks in SSC CGL 2012 so that we could analyze the Cutoff for the Tier I. This will help candidates in knowing whether they would able to clear the Tier I of Prelims of CGL or not.
We have spoken to many of the coaching Institutes who are specialized in SSC Training. Their views on cutoff is very clear. They are expecting that the cutoff would be 72-77.
All such candidates who are expecting this score must start preparing for the mains because the Mains will be as like prelims especially the Math section.

cutt off 80 below rahegi because its maths portion is too tough,
if ur score approx 85 so u preparing the next paper

The sectional cutoff is clearly mentioned in the SSC CGLE notice. Read it properly without posting such dumb comments
If there had been anything like sectional cut off they would've mentioned it on the cover page of the question paper, just like the negative marking clarification. I went through the whole instructions and there was nowhere written anything about sectional cutoff.
So stop misinterpreting and contaminating others.

i would advice you to concentrate on geometry, algebra and trignometry
give importance to trignometry to cleare maths portion
paper much easy than previous years....n seats available are almost 1/3......so cut off gonna be really high....only sectional cut off can save this time....
how u know the seats are 1/3 , this year a huge no of vacancies around 10000-12000 r available..............

my dear astha i think you had not seen last year ssc paper. it was very easy then compare to recently paper. so cutt of will not go very high

which section did u find easy? i fnd the maths wala part specially tough
astha paper was not easy than last year. only b.tech students were able to cross a limit of 30 in math section.

From where u got dis information for sectional cut off mr. Administrator? They hav not mention this in their notice and for ur kind information any change in ssc norm whether it is syllabus or anything else they inform abt that wel in advance wit a short notice in their website (www.ssc.nic.in). When they started giving negative marks for the first time in 2010 that time also they hav clearly mentioned abt it in their notification in bold letter and even uploaded abt it in their website. So from this point there could not be sectional cut off as they hav not well communicated to the candidates. So plz dnt misguide other without proper information...

I think you guys should go through the post properly....Admin has clearly mentioned the SSC Notice in PDF file above...Go through the passage NOTICE - 2
NOTICE-2 says that the commission have the freedom or power to set sectional cutoff but,,,it didn't says it is already implemented in CGL SSC 2012 .........................
and common if they do that they write in there notification in BOLD LETTERS clearly.................
guys i think sectional cut off will around 18-22 i think since the level of mathematics was tougher when compared to last year. so what do you guy think? and sectional cut off is a confirmed thing it is mentioned in notification clearly.
