UPSC CSAT – Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted the CSAT 2012 prelims exam for recruitment of various candidates in IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc. UPSC had conducted the Prelims exam on 20/05/2012 (Sunday) all over India.

CSAT 2012 Prelims exam was conducted for Objective type test (multiple choice questions) consist of two papers and carry a maximum of 400 marks. We have provided the answer key for different SET A, B, C, D for both the General Studies paper and Aptitude question paper published by various coaching institute.

Expected cutoff for Prelims is going to be high due to many factor like :
a. There are total of 1037 seats in UPSC this year, so number of candidates will be more
b. Pattern of question was little easier as compare to previous year
It is expected that cutoff for prelims will go higher compare to previous year. Candidates may share their expected marks so that we can provide the Expected cutoff based on sampling.

hi friends ... i want to ask that if a candidate got 185 marks in paper 2 of prelim and o marks in paper 1 of pre. and cutoff marks for his/her category is 185 than he/she will qualify for mains or not ? means i want to know , is there any separate qualifying marks for these two pre exams ?
Look guys this is my first attempt but this is civil service guys . The paper 1 was not difficult but tricky, so the average score after cut off will go about 65 to 85 . Paper 2 was easy but time consuming so ythe score will go about 130-140. so cut off will be around 210 for general .
paper 1 = 65 marks
paper 2 = 110 marks
total = 175 marks OBC prelims cleared
My score is 74 105=179 and i m from sc community. . . .any chance guy's!
Every 1 is saying paper's was easy and we are looking answers are changing coachings 2 coachings. . . In 1 coaching answer some 1 scoring 190. . . .and in others 175. . . Why is so?
dear aspirants,there are more bebate and consucion.i would like to say that the cut off will be around 200.nearly about 5000 students get 230 + marks,remaining get 200 and less than .so you continue ur preparation.

i m from general category.i have given csat 2012.i have answered 55 correct(attemted 65 out of 100) in paper I.and 70(attempted 72 out of 100)in paper II.is there chance of my selection in csat pre.2012.
72 out of 100 in paper 2..hmmm........ start for next years prelims n next time make sure you make the correct count of questions in paper 2
