IBPS exam for Common Written exam is finally over. This exam for Recruitment in Public Sector Bank as an officer was conducted in Two session at various center in India. The rush of candidates was so much that exam was conducted in Two session.
First session was started from 9′ O clock where as the second session was started from 2:30 PM.

IBPS CWE Cutoff marks Analysis
After collecting the brief information about the Question pattern and Analyzing the candidates opinion , we have found that the question paper of Common Written Exam was unexceptional.
Being a Banker I must say that It was the toughest paper for banking Recruitment I ever seen . Level of Exam paper was much-much higher than even SBI or RBI (WE Exam) also.
Anyway the total cutoff for CWE exam will surely be very low especially in English and General Awareness. Anyone Who have scored 10-14 will clear the sectional cutoff of English. The descriptive section will have the cutoff of around 15 marks.
We have summarized the cutoff marks for each section based on the Sampling of data provided by the candidates as below, Please do note that these analysis for cutoff is purely based on assumption. This is totally the views and we can not assure about the accuracy of this view, so please check.

| General Awareness | General Awareness was of confusing type and very few were there to score more than 27-28. Cutoff would be Near To 25 Marks. |
| Computer Knowledge | This was the most easiest section and this will boost the overall marks of candidate. Cutoff will be higher, around 35 |
| English Language | As I said earlier also, most of the candidate will be failed in this section only. Very tough. Cutoff will be as lower to 10-12 |
| Descriptive paper | This paper will depend each candidates grasp on English language, but I think cutoff for this section would no go higher than 15 marks |
This is the analysis on the Common Written Exam (CWE) for PO. What I suggest you not to depend on this analysis only because this is the first time CWE is conducted by IBPS and cutoff may vary or may go lower also. But this is the safe score to get the good scorecard.

Hey raj, do u think cutof wud vary from bank to bank? N if i score around 150 out of 225, and 15 out of 25 in descriptv, then i wil get intrview chance in how many banks?

as far as i know, the selection process will b the same like in CAT n MAT papers........ u will get a score card and then u have to wait for a bank to contact u if they have vacancy........ merely cracking the exam does not ensure the job
I don't think so. after the notification from the banks, we hve to apply for each bank by indicating our score. then the bank will short list the candidates according to their vacancies & standard score then next is the interview. Bks, in MBA programs the candidates are paying to the institutes lakhs of rupees as fee, so they will approach candidates . But in banks they are paying to us as 'salary'
i am not ware of cut off section wise. cut off will be agregate or section wise. pls clarify?

all the sections i did very well but in quant i only did about 15 to 17 questions,i am confident that i will get 14 marks,so is there there any possibility of any positive result?
for gen cat..it is tough to clear the section....

Reasoning – 24(20-21 are definitely correct)
Quant – 23(19-20 are definitely correct)
GA- 46(most of these are correct)
Computer – 50(almost 100% accuracy)
English – 47(most of these are correct)
TOTAL – 190
In quant and reasoning i solved only those questions about which am positive. Only 2-3 intelligent guesses due to lack of time in reasoning and quant.
Am almost sure about clearing the last three, but not about first two(reasoning and quant.
