  • If your expectation is accurate, you have had very good chance....don't waste (Not visiting this site although) your time, start preparing for interview...

  i am a Obc-ph candidate with both leg and i expect i will get total 330 marks (ter1 + tier2)in cgl 2011. Please tell me what is my chances and which posts are available for me.

• ...... So people beware of this hope that nobody faces this dilemma, that people scoring les than you getting a better post...........I took the CPT for asst. in CSS very lightly, and end result was that i didn't qualified the CPT,.... so be sincere for CPT too..
  This year considering the negative marking, tougher paper, the cutoff will definitely go down, but how much, it's really hard to guess.......
  This year i am expecting Tier-1 120, Tier-2 (139+140), total 390-395,...... but still i am not sure, because last year i suffered a lot.........

• It's quite difficult to guess the cutoff for an exam,..... last time i predicted it to be around 395-405(for UR), but it wasfar mor than that, i.e. 424, my score was 422, thats why i got statitical inv. gr2, currently undergoing training in Greater noida(NASA), prior to this I was PO in SBI......One thing that one must remember is that once after the written exam result, you are alloted the post group(for eg. "only for investigator", or "for Investigator/Asst. in CSS only), then even if you score very good marks in interview then you won't be alloted other posts like inspector in IT/CE, or sub inspector inCBI, as i got 73 in interview andt a total of 495 out of 700, which was greater than cutoff for Inspector in CE, but i was given only the post of Stat. Investigator......

  • abhinav it means you had taken all three papers of tier-2 in 2010 and 424 was cut off for 2 papers of tier-2... for statistical invg post you have to apper in paper-3 alsoof tier-2.....your score of 422 should included marks of all three papers.. your score of tier-1+tier-2(p1+p2) should have been around 360 if you had got 60-65 in stats paper..and thats the reason that you were offerd that post only because that might be your preferance..... below 424 the cut off was 406 for tax assistant and u would have got that post otherwise.... i hope i rectified your error
