RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Reserve Bank of India Recruitment of Grade B officers eligibility criteria i.e. age and others details. Follow the following instruction before filling up the form :

Age (as on 01 -09-2011): Between 21 and 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/09/1981 and not laterthan 01/09/1990). For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification, upper age limit will be 31 and 33 years respectively. For candidates having experience as an officer in Commercial Bank/Financial Institution in Public Sector, upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For such candidates, upper age limit should not exceed 33 years including experience. For experience, probationary period will not be reckoned. Refer item 4 below for relaxation in upper age limit for specified categories.

There is a little confusion in the age relaxation for Bank Officers who has completed the age of 30 Years. They are eligible to fill the form if they are below the age of 33 years excluding the services of their probation period. Suppose your date of birth is 01-01-1981 and you have been working with government banks for last 2.9 years then your length of service calculated for this period would be 9 months only which fall under the eligibility criteria of max 33 years (Total Age : from 01-01-1981 To 01-09-2011 : 30 Years 8 months) Hence eligible.

Educational Qualifications (as on 01-09 -2011):

i) A First Class Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade OR

ii) A Second Class Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade OR

v) A Post Graduate Diploma in Management /MBA qualification from institutions recognized by Government of India/ University Grants Commission, with Graduation / Bachelor’s Degree.

NOTE: SC/ST/PWD candidates having second class with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in Bachelor’s Degree examination OR having a Post-graduate Degree or equivalent recognized qualification, are eligible to apply.

Any Clarification in this regard are favourably welcome !!!!!!
