Pro Naxal Ideologue Binayak Sen sentenced to life

Rights activist Binayak Sen, Naxal ideologue Narayan Sanyal and Kolkata businessman Piyush Guha were sentenced to life imprisonment on Friday after a Raipur court found them guilty of sedition.

They were charged with sedition for helping Maoists in their fight against the state.

Septuagenarian Narayan Sanyal is said to be a top Maoist ideologue while Piyush Guha is a Kolkata based businessman in his early 30s.

Binayak Sen, who was out on bail, was arrested immediately after the court delivered its order.
