While most of the colleges have already filled in their general category seats, the third cut-off list showed that admission to Economic (Hons) was closed in most of the colleges but some seats remained to be filled in B Com (Hons) in few colleges.
The cut-off for B Com (Hons) in Hansraj college is 94.75 to 96.75 per cent, in Hindu was 94.5 to 98 per cent and in Ramjas college it is 93.5 to 96.5 per cent.
The same colleges have, however, closed admissions for Economic (Hons) so have Miranda House and Venkateshwar college.

But there is not much choice in science courses. Most colleges have put up a houseful board in honours courses like physics, chemistry, computer science and BSc physical and life sciences. Meanwhile, admissions in BA programme are still open in 37 colleges.
There is a dip of up to 3% in BCom (H) and BCom in the third cutoff list. While Hans Raj has kept admissions open without changing the second list cutoff, Hindu has relaxed it by 0.25%. “We had to keep admissions open as not many candidates showed up for admissions to this course this time. We hope to get enough students in the third list,” said the principal of Hindu College, Vinay Kumar Srivastava.
Ramjas and Lady Shri Ram have reopened admissions to BCom (H) by lowering their cutoffs by 1% and 0.5%, respectively. At Ramjas, the cutoff for BCom programme, too, has dipped by 1.5%. “We had to reopen admissions in BCom (H) as a lot of students withdrew after the second list. But under the third list, we will consider economics in the best of four aggregate for admissions to BCom programme which was not the case till the second list,” said Ramjas principal Rajendra Prasad. BCom programme is open for admissions across 27 colleges.
Unlike the trend till last year, science courses that will be semester-based from this year seem to have caught the fancy of students this time. Except botany (H) and zoology (H), which are open for admissions in five and eight colleges, respectively, all seats in chemistry (H) are taken. Physics (H) is open only in Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences at 76.33% cutoff. Maths (H) is on offer at 10 colleges, including LSR (90%), Jesus and Mary (84.5%) and Kamala Nehru (80%).
There is good news for social science aspirants. Except economics (H), popular courses like English (H), history (H) and political science (H) are open across many colleges. The popular English (H) course is still looking for takers across 20 colleges, including 10 CATE colleges. While Bharati College reduced the CATE cutoff by a whopping 7.5% in the third list, Swami Shraddhanand is ready to admit students to English (H) at a cutoff as low as 45% (as per the department of English). Meanwhile, history (H) and political science (H) are open in 23 and 22 colleges, respectively.
Admissions for OBC aspirants are open in most courses across colleges with the cutoff dipping by 8-10% for this category. The admissions in the third list will be held from Friday till Monday.
